The Faculty for the Future programme awards fellowships to women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or postdoctoral research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at leading universities worldwide.

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) students only.

Open to students in the following departments: Department of Biology, Department of Chemistry, Department of Computer Science, Department of Environment and Geography, Department of Health Sciences, Department of Mathematics and School of Physics, Engineering and Technology.

Applicants must be:

  • female
  • preparing for a PhD degree in a STEM discipline
  • a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy
  • have a proven track record of teaching experience
  • able to demonstrate active participation in faculty life and outreach programmes to encourage young women into the sciences
  • able to demonstrate their commitment to going back to their home country/region upon completion.
