Derwent College accommodation
Derwent is one of York’s oldest colleges, located on Campus West and home to two Students' Union-run bars/cafes, as well as a dining hall.
Our 1960s buildings feature a mix of room types in open corridor layouts which are great for socialising.

Derwent College, Shared bathroom
Conveniently located near The Courtyard Bar and D Bar, with the green space of the Quiet Place on their doorstep, these blocks share bathroom facilities with other students in the same corridor. Most rooms also come with their own private washbasin.
Most of these rooms are in corridor-style layouts in our original Derwent College buildings.

Derwent College (Quad), Shared bathroom
These rooms are located just outside of the main Derwent College buildings, in more recently built blocks. Each house has its own kitchen and bathroom facilities, and each room has a private washbasin.
Each house will be shared between an average of 14 students.

These rooms are located just outside of the main Derwent College buildings, in more recently built blocks. Each house has its own kitchen and bathroom facilities, and each room has a private bathroom.
Each house will be shared between an average of 10 students.

Derwent College (Eden's Court), Shared bathroom
We have a few houses at Eden's Court, a short walk away on Heslington Lane. These houses will be newly refurbished for 2025/26.
These houses have their own kitchen and bathroom facilities, and each room has a private washbasin.
Each house will be shared between an average of 9 - 10 students.
Please be aware that the images and 360 scans were taken during the refurbishment so kitchen furniture and layout may vary.
