We contribute to policy and debates in a wide range of topics of public significance and interest.

Working closely with organizations including the United Nations, World Bank, NATO-STRATCOM, UK Army Welfare Service, World Health Organisation, the Ministry of Defence, the Department for International Development (DFID), and the Cabinet Office, we are using our research to help shape a safer world.

Domestic violence and conflict

Dr Harriet Gray has worked closely with the Organisation for Cooperation and Security in Europe (OCSE) on domestic violence and conflict.

Inclusive peace processes

Professor Nina Caspersen’s research on inclusive peace processes. Caspersen’s research has led to the development of practical conflict resolution strategies for some of the world’s most protracted conflicts. Her work has shaped UN thinking and has informed conflict resolution strategies in Cyprus, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Nuclear proliferation

Nick Ritchie’s work on nuclear proliferation. Ritchie has presented to Parliamentary Inquiries. His research and has influenced the Nobel Prize winning International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) in their approach to disarmament.
