Our Global Networks and Consortia
The University of York has a long history of playing an active role in international university networks and consortia.
Through these networks, we collaborate with research intensive universities across the world to tackle shared challenges such as health, climate change, and access to higher education. These networks also offer a wealth of opportunities for students and staff to get involved

We are proud to be a founder member of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN). Working together to promote research and teaching collaborations beyond the scope of an individual university, WUN is a partnership of 23 research-led universities with members in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America and North America.

We are a founding member of the UK-Jiangsu World-Class Universities Consortium. This group of 16 UK universities and 32 universities from Jiangsu Province aims to deepen strategic engagement and research collaboration among its members.
Associations
We are a member of the EUA. With over 800 member universities across 48 European countries, the Association plays a crucial role in the Bologna process and influencing EU policies on Higher Education, research and innovation.
The ACU has over 500 member universities in 50 countries across the Commonwealth. They offer a wide variety of funding for both staff and students to encourage international collaboration and strengthen ties and knowledge exchange between institutions.
