Our staff's expertise spans a broad range of disciplines and our teaching draws directly from our research, meaning you'll be working with academics who are leading in their field.

We have excellent facilities with access to the latest equipment and expert advice in our Technology Facility, including imaging and cytometry, genomics and bioinformatics, metabolomics and proteomics, protein production and molecular interactions.

  • Employment opportunities range from biological and biomedical research and development, to careers in science communication, the health service, forensic science, environmental health and wildlife conservation.

Our graduates

Our graduates have gone on to work in a wide range of sectors, including medical manufacturing, clinical science, software management, data engineering and scientific publishing. Many of our Masters graduates also go on to further study.
