The Centre for Artefacts and Materials Analysis (CAMA) brings together staff from across the Department of Archaeology whose work centres around six themes connected to the biographical study of artefacts and materials: from their provenance, manufacture, use, through to post-excavation recording, conservation and exhibition.
Using an extensive range of state-of-the art scientific methods and appropriate theoretical frameworks we study diverse organic and inorganic archaeological materials and artefacts: from the Palaeolithic to the more recent past.
