Palaeoproteomics lab
The Palaeoproteomics lab is a dedicated laboratory clean-room for ancient protein extractions.
We have access to a range of technologies and software for teaching and research purposes, including:
- An Opentrons pipetting robot for increased throughput for ZooMS analysis
- A range of protein identification software, including Mascot and PEAKS
We have strong links to the Centre of Excellence in Mass Spectrometry, allowing us to utilise equipment such as:
- MALDI-ToF (Bruker UltrafleXtreme)
- Orbitrap Fusion
- timsToF (Bruker)
